The world can feel awfully big when you're little. Built on the
belief that understanding ourselves is the first step toward understanding one another, Slumberkins creates gentle
spaces for children to explore their emotions, nurture
meaningful connections, and discover their place in the
world. With the release of How to BEE Helpful, the brand
invites little hearts to explore the beauty of kindness, the
joy of belonging, and the quiet wonder of discovering that
even the smallest among us can make a difference.

Big feelings often begin with little moments. To introduce Slumberkins’ Caring Heart Crew and How to BEE Helpful, the challenge was to transform a collection of lovable characters into stories that made kindness feel tangible. With just 24 hours to bring four advertisements to life, I developed a playful creative direction rooted in empathy, connection, and the quiet magic of helping one another. Each execution became a small chapter in a larger story, reminding us that even the smallest gestures can make a meaningful difference.
The Art of Working Within the Lines
Sometimes the most interesting ideas emerge from what isn't possible. The brief called for a series of GIF-based advertisements that brought both the How to BEE Helpful book and its accompanying plush collection into focus, without traditional puppetry or on-camera talent. Working within those boundaries, I explored how subtle movement, playful composition, and visual storytelling could give the characters a sense of life while preserving the warmth and simplicity of the products themselves. The result was a collection of small, expressive moments designed to let the story—and its characters—do the talking.
